Kebiasaan merugikan merupakan kebiasaan merusak yang biasa dilakukan, namun tanpa disadari telah merampas kebahagiaan Anda.

1. Takut menyakiti perasaan orang lain
Orang yang tidak berbahagia menghabiskan lebih banyak waktu untuk fokus pada penilaian orang lain, daripada fokus pada pengembangan dirinya sendiri. Orang yang tidak bahagia selalu mencoba membuat orang lain bahagia, dan rela mengorbankan kebahagiaannya sendiri agar tidak menyakiti perasaan orang lain.

Hal ini perlu dihindari karena terkadang untuk mempertahankan nilai-nilai yang kita miliki, akan ada orang-orang yang tidak setuju atau tidak suka. Anda tidak bisa memaksakan diri Anda untuk membuat setiap orang bahagia. Bahkan seorang motivator yang selalu memberi wejangan baik seperti mario Teguh pun memiliki haters.

2. Takut mengambil resiko
Orang yang tidak bahagia ketika ditawari sebuah kesempatan, akan mencari-cari alasan untuk tidak menerima tawaran tersebut. Orang-orang ini menyimpan banyak kekhawatiran sehingga seringkali kehilangan kesempatan emas yang seharusnya dapat diraihnya. Oleh karena itu, jangan biarkan alasan-alasan Anda menghalangi kesempatan untuk dapat hidup lebih bahagia.

3. Fokus pada apa yang tidak dimiliki
Orang yang tidak bahagia percaya bahwa apa yang tidak dimilikinya dapat membuatnya bahagia. Mereka fokus pada apa yang tidak dimiliki sehingga hidupnya menjadi membosankan dan tidak memuaskan. Karena keinginan orang tak pernah terpuaskan,  selalu menginginkan yang lebih dan lebih. Sehingga waktu di dalam hidupnya dihabiskan untuk memenuhi ambisi-ambisi yang terkadang tidak terlalu sesuai dengan kebutuhannya.

4. Menyimpan amarah atau dendam
Orang yang tidak bahagia terus mengingat memori-memori menyakitkan dan memendam dendam. Mereka merasa kesulitan untuk memaafkan tindakan buruk yang dilakukan orang lain terhadap dirinya. Mereka ingin orang yang menyakitinya merasakan hal yang setimpal seperti yang dirasakannya. Tanpa disadari hal ini justru membuatnya semakin sakit dan menambah hambatan mental.

Sebaliknya, jika memilih untuk memaafkan dan melupakan kesalahan orang lain, pikiran akan menjadi jauh lebih tenang dan hidup menjadi lebih bahagia.

5. Mengalihkan tanggung jawab
Orang yang tidak bahagia cenderung menyalahkan orang lain apabila situasi tidak berjalan seperti semestinya. Mereka tidak dapat mengakui kesalahan dan selalu mencari-cari obyek atau orang lain untuk disalahkan. "Saya terlambat gara-gara macet" atau "Tugasnya banyak sih jadi bangun kesiangan sampai nggak bisa ikut kelas pagi".

Akuilah jika memang itu kesalahan Anda, dan belajarlah dari kesalahan tersebut. Nah, apakah Anda memiliki salah satu atau beberapa dari kebiasaan merugikan tersebut?

Plagiarism Freeware Software Review

Turnitin VS Freeware

A plagiarism checker is used to verify if a student’s work was uniquely created or copied from another source. The system uses an available database and compares verbiage and phrasing found in the paper and compares the information to preexisting documentation. Based on the system findings, the system determines if the document has been copied from another source.

Turnitin has become the industry leader in plagiarism detection and monitoring. The system is a paid service (no freeware available) which allows access to its features based on the purchased package. The three features of the system are a plagiarism checker, an originality checker and a peer checker to determine if a student has copied the work of another student. With its many features, the system itself does not offer a direct LDAP connection, such as WVUP credentials used on campus. If the system is integrated with an LMS (learning management system), like eCampus, you can use the same login information a student can use their WVUP credentials to access Turnitin.com rather than requiring another set of login credentials.

In the case of a stand-alone system, or pilot program, the software is not connected to any preexisting credentialing system, such as LDAP. Each semester, the instructor is responsible for account creation for each student enrolled in their class who may need to use the program. After the account has been created, the instructor must contact the student with their turnitin username and password. The instructor is also responsible for account maintenance.

It is recommended that Turnitin.com be integrated with the active LMS system to simplify the login process and reduce the instructor maintenance responsibilities. As WVUP is in process of moving to a new LMS system (the current system is being de-supported by WVU by spring 2014), it is the advisable to use a turnitin alternative during this interim period. This report will focus on three freeware plagiarism checkers recommended and how they compare with the features available in turnitIn.

Tergesa-gesa saya menuju #SMP_Pelita_Cikutra #Bandung; untuk memberitahukan guru wali kelas anak saya bahwa si anak tidak bisa masuk karena sakit. Setelah menunggu 30 menit barulah ketemu dengan #gurunya; setelah berbasa-basi sang #guru dengan bijaknya memberitahukan bahwa anakku akhir-akhir ini mulai terbawa-bawa tingkah temennya yang lain, sehingga menjadi lebih "aktif".


Mendengar itu; dengan perasaan malu aku meminta agar bu #guru bersedia memanggil dan memberinya nasehat; sambil meminta agar didamaikan dengan salah seorang teman sekelasnya, karena terakhir anakku sempat luka dicakar kuku panjang temennya itu.

Importance of a Thank You letter

In the competitive world that we live in, many people apply for the same job openings and hope that they have made a positive lasting impression with their interviewer. It was fortunate enough that the person was able to land an interview and get a chance to obtain the position. What some people tend to overlook after an interview is the follow up. 

Obtaining an interview from an employer is big. It means that an employer has screened through a pile of applications and resumes and have selected possible candidates that he/she feels is qualified enough to handle the tasks involved in the job. But it does not end after the interview. A good common practice is to follow up with the company. One way to follow up is to send a Thank You letter to your interviewer. Thank the interviewer for giving you a chance to interview with him/her and for taking time out of his/her day to meet with you. Let him/her know what you felt about the interview and that you will be following up with him/her within a few days to check on the status of the position whether or not it has been filled.

It is good practice to keep the Thank You letter brief and straight to the point. Mention within the letter the highlights of the interview and any possible skills, qualifications, or availability that you forgot to mention during the interview. By doing this, the hiring manager will be able to recall who you are and what you had to say. Remember, a good resume leads to an interview, but a simple Thank You letter and follow up may just be the professionalism the hiring manager is looking for that can land you the job.
